Meet Our Team

Catherine Gagnon

Attorney
Catherine Gagnon most recently served as corporate counsel at Rockford Construction in Grand Rapids, where she advised executive leadership on complex construction projects, risk management, and the alignment of legal strategy with business operations. A native of France who has lived and worked in Berlin, Germany, while working for years as legal counsel for a multinational construction company, she brings a global perspective and cultural fluency to her practice. Her experience working closely with decision-makers shaped her thoughtful, strategic approach to the law. In her private practice, Catherine offers individuals and families the same caliber of counsel—marked by careful listening, meticulous planning, and a deep commitment to protecting what matters most. She is known for delivering sophisticated legal guidance with precision, clarity, and compassion.

Phil Harwood

Attorney
Phil Harwood brings over 40 years of experience as an entrepreneur, business consultant, and attorney. He is the founder of Tamarisk Legal Advisors PLLC and Tamarisk Business Advisors LLC. Phil works with business owners and private individuals, helping guide them with business succession and their estate plans. Phil graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing, where he was the chapter president of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. After gaining several years of practical business experience, he returned to MSU to obtain an Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree, followed by a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Phil has been married to Cindy for over 40 years and live in Grand Rapids Township. They have two grown children and four grandchildren.

Zach Gagnon

Director of Administration
Zach Gagnon is a business professional with an extensive financial and operations background – both international and domestic – in banking, consulting and food distribution. He serves as Director of Administration following a domestic and international career studying, working, and living in the United States and Europe. Zach brings a global mindset, broad financial expertise, and years of operational experience to his role as Director of Administration. A native of Michigan, he began his career at Plante Moran Financial Advisors (PMFA) before moving to Berlin in 2013 to begin a role at the investment bank Deutsche Bank AG, where he worked for five years in treasury and finance roles. Zach returned to West Michigan with his family in 2020, where he again worked at PMFA as a Trader, before taking further revenue analysis roles in mortgage banking and food distribution. He and his wife, Catherine, live in Cannonsburg, Michigan with their two children.
